Time and We

Image
Time, the fastest traveler when we are happy and ponderous when we are sad. It is amazing to see how time behaves to the same person in different situations. Is it really the time that changes its behavior or is it we, who behave differently with time? The time is always constant and it's only behavior is to keep going. It never stops. It is our outlook that changes with our thoughts making us think that time behaves differently. If we can somehow control our thoughts, we will see that nature of time is always same and we will be able to handle every situation in an optimal manner. But how do we do that? How do we control our thoughts? Can it be really done? The short answer to these questions is yes, and long answer is, it requires effort and dedication to master the art of controlling our thoughts. There is a short story from which explains well about how to adapt to your situation and keep your thinking positive: There was a sage living with his disciples. His disciple...

Speakup your mind

Image source People "talk" less often these days. The verbal expression that gives a true sense of care and love is diminishing. We prefer to show our love and care digitally, through emojis and texts. But what about the basic essence of having a conversation? Aren't we missing that? Are we sure that we are able to convey our feelings through these texts and emojis? Even if we can articulate well, are we confident that the other person would be able to read between the lines, look into the eyes of the emojis and understand our feelings? This lack of emotion is affecting our daily life as stress, misunderstanding between friends, partners and parents. Even our kids are not spared. This is the dark side of the digital world. Fortunately, little effort is required to keep the things in place. Make it a habit of talking regularly with your friends, partners, parents and kids, verbally. Spend some time with them. Make them feel your love and care for them. If there...

Get some time for your present.

We are so much worried about our times. More for our future than the present. To make our future bright, we are working relentlessly without caring about our present. We are so lost in shaping our future that we forget to enjoy what we have now. To make our dreams come true in future, we had put everything at stake, including the moments we can cherish and enjoy while we are on our journey. This doesn't mean we should stop worrying about our future, but we need to pay attention to our present too. This is true that success requires sacrifice and we should be ready to sacrifice to fulfil our dreams. But does it means we should ignore people around us? After all, what is the point of being successful, if you don't have someone to enjoy your success with? We often work to compete with our neighbour, our colleague or maybe our business rival. In this battle, we lose our own beloved and dear ones. If we were working towards our dreams, we won't be ignorant to our friends and...

Why do we have God?

God, knowingly or unknowingly we keep referring to in our daily lives. But ever wondered if there is really a God? If yes, then how does he or she looks like? Theist or atheist, we all keep some sort of relation to this word. Why do we have God at all in our daily life, regardless of which religion we belong to? We often use God to attribute some of the unforeseen circumstances to, which are beyond our control. Every religion has some God or Goddess, who do have their own significance and they portray a specific character highlighting their qualities. In India, Ram(or Rama) for example describes an ideal human and an ideal King, Krishna, who is considered to be a great friend, and true leader guides us on how we should live our lives. There are a lot of others with unique qualities which make them differ from normal human beings, and referred to as God. The notion of God is just to have a belief. A belief which motivates us to walk on the path we believe. A belief to follow thei...
