Why do we have God?

God, knowingly or unknowingly we keep referring to in our daily lives. But ever wondered if there is really a God? If yes, then how does he or she looks like? Theist or atheist, we all keep some sort of relation to this word. Why do we have God at all in our daily life, regardless of which religion we belong to?

We often use God to attribute some of the unforeseen circumstances to, which are beyond our control. Every religion has some God or Goddess, who do have their own significance and they portray a specific character highlighting their qualities. In India, Ram(or Rama) for example describes an ideal human and an ideal King, Krishna, who is considered to be a great friend, and true leader guides us on how we should live our lives. There are a lot of others with unique qualities which make them differ from normal human beings, and referred to as God.

The notion of God is just to have a belief. A belief which motivates us to walk on the path we believe. A belief to follow their teachings, to inherit their qualities so that we can fulfill and enjoy our wishes in best possible way. For that, every God (at least in India) guides us focus on our Karma (or actions), which as per their saying is what is responsible for our present and future. The better the Karma we do, the brighter our future is. We can leave the question of God's existence to God himself. Actions are what made them be a greater human beings, and God. And only our action can grant us the things we wish for. A beautiful shloka from famous book Gita to says:
कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन।
मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भूर्मा ते सङ्गोऽस्त्वकर्मणि

You have only the right to work; not on the fruits thereof. Don’t be instrumental in making your actions bear fruit. Also, let not your attachment be instrumental to inaction.
